Health Care and Economic Justice for All

We impose the cost of Social Security, Medicare, and the worlds most expensive health care system on American workers and expect them to compete in a global market place. This is economic insanity! We are penalizing American workers and giving foreign producers a tremendous cost advantage by doing this.

We can correct this imbalance by nationalizing health insurance, eliminating payroll taxes and paying for these social costs with a national sales tax. The benefits of this plan would be huge.

·        Every citizen would have health insurance.

·        We would secure the Social Security system.

·        Domestic producers and their employees would be better able to compete globally because they would no longer be saddled with the cost of health care and Social Security, this should also help increase wages.

·        Foreign producers would have to contribute to our health care and Social Security system when they sell their goods in our country.

·        By eliminating payroll taxes and providing universal health insurance, we would improve the economic condition of those with low or middle incomes and strengthen our economy.

• State and local governments as well as schools would save billions in health care costs.  They would now be able to spend this money on education, childcare, transportation and the environment.
